1. In , the band recorded a demo cassette tape entitled Enfeebled Earth before they would change their name to Dark Tranquillity and change their musical style. It was followed by multiple demos, and in , Skydancer was released. Soon after, Anders Fridén, Dark Tranquillity's main vocalist at the time, left the band and later joined In Flames.

3. Jul 13,  · The title I have given this review pretty much sums up what the music on this album sounds like, at least from my perspective. The fusion of Dark Tranquillity's usual heavy riffs and brutal vocals coupled with the prominence of deep, imposing clean singing and Depeche Mode-like electronic beats and melodies makes for a combination that most fans of either musical world do not often /5(40).

7. Dark Tranquillity’s fourth studio album is, in my opinion, their best. Projector is their most melodic album yet released. I just love Mikael’s vocals; he can sing with a clear voice and do some nice growls, so it really leaves to the atmosphere of the album something great. Projector starts off with Freecard.
